Is fairness and a sense of “fair play” more important to you than money? Would it surprise you if this is the case for some people?
In this session, we examine how to manage your “fairness response” or “inclination”, and the battle for status that many consciously and unconsciously engage in. We discover why asking, “why did you do that?” implies that a person is in the wrong, and how perceived status is a driver of behaviour at work and elsewhere! We describe the SCARF model to help with our discussion. You know how us Brits love “fair play”!
Next week, Jayne will take this further by looking at “Integrity and Humility at Work”.
