Machine learning and AI have matured significantly. However, both businesses and citizens should take a closer look at purpose and mechanics of intelligent automation to safely, productively and ethically roll out their AI solutions. This talk will also discuss the matters of algorithmic bias, and some solutions that implement explainability.

 

Akshay is actively involved with several social impact groups, including the Nexus Youth Summit, supported directly by the UN. He also sit on the boards of a select few technology organizations that have a social responsibility mandate.

Akshay holds a Master of Science in Math (sp. abstract algebra) from the University of Toronto, a Masters of Engineering in CS (sp. distributed systems and machine learning) from Cornell University, and an Honours degree (HonBSc) in CS and Math from the U of T
