TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 8:30am – 9:30am –

In a recent TechConnex peer group where we discussed differences between the different “generations” of people in the work force now, the common theme was “even if someone belongs to a certain generation, everyone is unique, they have different backgrounds, are at different life stages, and want different things. So don’t generalize!”

Interacting effectively with others requires great communication and understanding skills. How do you do that? It is about more than just the words, and more than just “telling”. This involves listening carefully to others to understand them, what they mean, what they want, where they are coming from, then speaking in a way that others will understand you.

Join us on Tues. Dec. 14 for the Skills for Leaders Peer Group discussion on Effective Communication where we will:
– discuss what makes effective communication work,
– understand a communication and behavioural style model to help you understand others and communicate more effectively with anyone.

Come prepared to share, learn and plan how you can communicate more effectively with your teams, management, and colleagues. Maybe even your significant other!
